Serenade in the Park (Short Film Festival)
‘Summertime’ is the first of two summer serenades to be held in Baden’s Kurpark in 2026. On Saturday 22 August, this concert will bring together the international brass elite. Four superstars – David Taylor (iconic bass trombonist and legend of the New York scene), Alex Sipiagin (virtuoso jazz trumpeter), Sergej Nakariakov (world-renowned trumpet virtuoso) and Daniel Schnyder (New York-based saxophonist, composer and arranger) – will take centre stage together on this evening. The 12-piece international brass ensemble also features hand-picked young talents from the brass scene.
Gershwin and jazzy echoes of George Shearing, a fiery ‘Danza del Fuego’ bursting with rhythm and energy, ‘Mozart Interludes’ and ‘Vivaldi Revisited’ cast classics in a new light, whilst ‘CUBAC’ blends Bach with a Cuban groove. The result is a serenade in which stars and up-and-coming talent, classical and jazz, virtuosity and that summer feeling come together to create a rich, sparkling “Summertime” experience – right in the heart of the atmospheric Baden Spa Gardens.
CHF 50 – free seating. In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the Kurtheater.

Access to the Kurtheater Baden is barrier-free through the main entrance on Parkstrasse. The theatre hall and the New Foyer can be reached barrier-free via the lift in the entrance foyer. The rehearsal room on the 5th floor is also accessible. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available in the front building and in the back building. Inductive hearing with your own hearing aid (mode "T") is available in the hall in the stalls, not in the balcony. Hearing aids can be borrowed free of charge from the cloakroom for a deposit.
