Botanical Illustration: Introductory Course in Pencil Drawing (3 days)
Day 2: 29 August / Day 3: 12 September
The Zurich Botanical Garden is the perfect place to draw plants. You will learn the basics of botanical illustration and how to draw plants, capturing their key botanical features. Light and shadow
play an important role in bringing out three-dimensional forms. This also involves setting up lighting and positioning the objects. You will also practise depicting the organic parts of plants, with their texture and tonality, in perspective. Seasonal plant parts are used as models for the illustrations.

Infos Zugänglichkeit:
Der Botanische Garten liegt vollständig im Freien und ist nicht überdacht. Direkt vor dem Garten steht kein Behindertenparkplatz zur Verfügung. Der Alternativzugang für Rollstuhlfahrer erfolgt über einen befestigten Rampenweg auf der rechten Seite des Haupteingangs. Die Wege innerhalb des Gartens sind zum Teil schmal und verlaufen auf- und abwärts. Innerhalb des Gartens befindet sich ein Gebäude mit Selbstbedienungsrestaurant und einem Rollstuhl-WC. Es ist mit einem Lift ausgestattet, der alle relevanten Ebenen erschliesst.
