Four actors step into the ring and battle for the audience’s favour. The discipline: improvisational theatre. Out of thin air, the performers create scenes right before the audience’s eyes. The actors whisk the audience away into a nerve-wracking thriller, a light-hearted comedy or a powerful intimate drama. Anything goes! Everything is created in the moment. Every scene is both a premiere and a final performance.
Both teams promise to be the best in their field. However, this judgement rests solely with the evening’s judges: the audience. They decide who takes home the victory.
When the Stupid Lovers take to the stage, there is no script – just the joy of performing, pace and a love of the absurd moment. Their improvisational theatre thrives on a keen sense of human depths, a great love of performance and the art of striking exactly the right note amidst the chaos. They are regulars at Badumts, and for good reason: hardly any other team gets the theatre at Gleis so buzzing.
