VEFA Forró Concert and Jam
An evening of music and dance from north-eastern Brazil, with plenty of opportunities to join in.
A special evening filled with music and dance from north-eastern Brazil. VEFA is organising its first ever evening of concerts, dancing and jamming at Galotti! So grab your loved ones, your instrument, and your rusty dancing legs and come along! If you’re just coming to listen, all you need is a pinch of curiosity and a pair of open ears!
VEFA will be playing two sets:
1st set: Concert by our association VEFA.
2nd set: Open jam session, where you’re welcome to join in, depending on space and organisation.
Forró is a well-known musical style and couple’s dance from north-eastern Brazil. The term "Forró" can have various meanings and refer to the musical genre, a specific musical rhythm, the dance, or even the event at which it takes place.
