Embassy of India in Berne and Museum Rietberg in Zurich invite you to join for the celebration of the International Day of Yoga 2018 in Zurich. Yoga is a 5,000-year-old tradition from India that combines physical, mental and spiritual pursuits to achieve harmony of the body and mind. On 11 December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared 21 June as the International Day of Yoga.

Museum Rietberg celebrates this day by offering a yoga class with Malabika Chatterjee. She’s the founder, owner and teacher of the Maheshwar Yoga studio in Basel.

The celebration will start with a short introduction to the sculpture of the Shiva Nataraja, one of the iconic works of the collection of Indian Art of the Museum Rietberg. A complimentary beverage is included.

Venue: In front of the main entrance, Museum Rietberg

Time: 10 to 10.15 am introduction to the sculpture of the Shiva Nataraja
10.15 to 11 am yoga class (in the Summer Pavilion) followed by a complimentary beverage

Please bring your own yoga mat.
