The Kellertheater, founded in 1972, is THE place for contemporary theatre in Winterthur. In this atmospheric theatre in the centre of the old town, we are primarily dedicated to author's theatre. In addition to our own three productions, we offer a wide range of different guest performances by other small theatres and independent groups. In addition, the Kellertheater has its finger on the pulse of its own city with an open discussion format, develops digital and live contributions to an in-house production together with an author every season and is a meeting place for all tango enthusiasts every Monday.
