The aim of the Culture Commission is to promote and support culture in Opfikon. The commission is chaired by the mayor. It is made up of representatives from the Reformed and Catholic churches, the City of Opfikon's Society Department, the school, the Kleintheater Mettlen, the Opfikon village association and the Glattpark neighbourhood association.
The Culture Commission regularly organises or supports the following events:

Jazz on the lake
Federal celebration
Forest festival

Open-air film festival
Folk music i dä Schüür
Food festival
Little theatre
Mettlen
Travelling theatre
Chlausmärt
