The orchestra le phénix was founded in 2008 by the two cellists Christine Meyer and Mathias Kleiböhmer. In recent years, it has made a name for itself as an original sound orchestra far beyond the cantonal borders of Zurich and Graubünden with its lively interpretations. in 2017, it received its second ECHO Classical Music Award (Wagenseil Cello Concertos with Christophe Coin). Regular collaborations with Maurice Steger, Emma Kirkby, Andreas Staier, John Holloway, among others.
