THE SUCCESSFUL BERLIN FORMAT MAKES A DETOUR TO ZURICH
Thomas Meinecke and Simone Keller in conversation, 90'
The setting is as simple as it is captivating: two turntables, two people for whom music is the epicentre of their lives — or at least the driving force around which so much revolves. Thomas Meinecke (author, pop writer, musician, DJ and creator of the programme) and pianist Simone Keller, who crosses the boundaries between styles and genres, play each other tracks and records that inspire them. The starting point is our film series ‘When Jazz Scores’ — but where the journey takes the pair of them remains to be seen. A conversation about music and the stories, images and memories that unfold behind a record and its cover. Thomas Meinecke: “‘Plattenspieler’ isn’t about passing on knowledge, but about intuition, and about loving and hating. In other words, it’s about big emotions that, precisely for that reason, produce comical situations.” We’re looking forward to it.

Tickets available online at moods.ch or directly at the box office. Admission: CHF 15, reduced rates available with Filmpodium GA and Half-Fare cards.
