Guided tour exploring the origins of works of art
Provenance research is an integral part of collection management at the Kunsthaus Zürich. In the search for cultural property confiscated as a result of Nazi persecution, the collection is therefore systematically examined to determine the provenance of its works. This research not only uncovers tragic stories but also fascinating background narratives.
The guided tour on provenance research explains just how labour-intensive this work can be and which questions need to be clarified. The tour will take place in the Moser Building, focusing on selected works from the Kunsthaus Zürich’s own collection.
