Interim Report. The Emil Bührle Collection

The perfect introduction to the exhibition

You can look forward to works of art-historical significance by Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet and Auguste Renoir, Modernist artists such as Pablo Picasso and Marc Chagall, as well as works of 17th-century Dutch painting.

Over 200 paintings from the E.G. Bührle Collection Foundation’s collection are displayed in a so-called Petersburg hanging. This form of presentation was common in salons and art museums until the end of the 19th century, and Emil Bührle also hung his private collection in this manner.

For the first time, all the works in the collection can be viewed in this way in a display depot overview.
