Chico Chico

Singer-songwriter Chico Chico is one of the most powerful and authentic voices of a new generation of Brazilian musicians. Since the start of his career with the band 2x0 Vargem Alta (2015), he has produced numerous acclaimed works, including his song “A Cidade” (nominated for a Latin Grammy), his collaboration with Fran Gil (over 23 million streams on Spotify), and his album “Pomares” (nominated for a Latin Grammy). As the son of the legendary Cássia Eller, Chico honors his family’s legacy while simultaneously building his own musical career, marked by collaborations with Maria Bethânia, Nando Reis, and Zé Ramalho.

At the LusoSonic Festival at Moods, Chico Chico will present his new album “Let It Burn – Deixa Arder”—an intense, multifaceted work that reflects his artistic range and brings together a wide variety of influences. Moving between romantic, intimate moments and powerful, genre-spanning songs, he traverses blues, folk, Brazilian rhythms, gospel, and milonga. Original compositions meet reinterpreted classics, while Pedro Fonseca’s production and collaborations with renowned musicians lend the work additional depth. The album reflects Chico Chico’s current artistic identity—raw, multifaceted, and expressive.
