Borogodó

Borogodó is what Brazilians mean when they say something has “borogodó”: that certain magic you can’t explain but can feel right away. The band from Zurich plays the music Brazil celebrates – from Salvador’s Axé to Forró and Pagode, all the way to Piseiro, which dominates the charts today. In between, they play Funk Classics, 80s Rock, and songs that everyone in Brazil knows by heart. They prefer to perform as a “Roda”: the band in the middle of the audience, with music coming from all sides. The musicians all live in Switzerland and know both sides of the audience – Brazilians feeling saudade and Swiss people who just want to dance. The dance floor is packed from the very first song.
