Zurich Jazz Orchestra feat. China Moses
The soul-diva is back!
Singer, songwriter, and producer China Moses develops her art and music in an open and honest way. Her music is defiantly authentic and defies what so many labels and critics want: a label. She captivates her listeners with her deep sense of rhythm, her sensitivity, and her wit, drawing inspiration from countless styles within the vast tradition of African American music.
Open and fearless, China’s songs document fleeting emotional states and expansive narratives, often turning to self-reflection in both her lyrics and phrasing. China Moses and Ed Partyka have been collaborating since 2014 and have built a strong artistic connection based on mutual respect and trust. Over the years, Ed has arranged many of China’s original compositions, as well as selected songs from the pop, soul, and gospel repertoires, for jazz orchestra.
