They yodel to lure the fairies out of the bushes and stomp their feet to scare the snakes away from the Madrisa Alp. High D seeks out archaic energies that have fallen into oblivion. Swiss myths and legends are the first landmarks on the young duo’s musical journey. Through their music, they transport listeners to the settings of legends throughout the Alpine region, from the caves of Vallorbe to the basilisk of Basel and the Hölloch caves in the Muota Valley in Schwyz. Lucas and Luca interweave showers of sound and 'Jützli', clouds of guitar and synth drones. Raw soundscapes capture the emotions of the stories, while lyrics in dialect convey their narratives and moral questions. Composition meets improvisation, navigating the space between archaic ritual, noise, folk music and experimental sound exploration. Meanwhile, they shepherd a flock of mini-amps that dance in a circle with them, carrying the vibrations further into mountain valleys, crevices and glacial crevasses. They are punky, queer and deeply rooted in the Alps.
