Hypnotic play with water
Akutuk is a percussion technique from Cameroon: water is used as an instrument, played with bare hands and accompanied by singing. It is an exclusively female practice that is passed down from woman to woman over generations. The Akutuk Origins project aims to revive this almost lost cultural heritage and make it visible in public spaces.
