OF ANTS, LETTERS AND CRACKLING
Two animals start writing letters to each other. But how do you begin a letter? ‘Dear Ant…’, ‘Dear Sir or Madam Ant…’, ‘Good day, Ant…’ … Yes, that’s good! But do you actually have to write something, or can a letter be something else? A slice of salami, a hole in the paper? Can a letter be made of edible paper? When is a letter actually a letter?
This time, the stage is a large coat; it becomes a vast sea, an adventurous path, a deep cave into which more than just a letter might disappear. This short puppet theatre piece, based on stories by Toon Tellegen, tells of rustling words and quiet messages, and of paper that sets off on a journey. And of what happens when you make up your mind.
