A World History of Switzerland
In France and Italy, this approach has been around for some time: a history that does not end at the nation’s borders, but tells the story of their countries within a global context. Now Switzerland is following suit with its ‘World History’. In 121 essays, renowned authors paint a broad transnational picture. Entertaining and multifaceted, the ‘World History of Switzerland’ sheds new light on the country and its global interconnections.
The book is published by the Swiss Society for Economic and Social History under the editorship of Véronique Dasen, Thomas David, Brigitte Studer and Simon Teuscher.
