Family concert: ‘The Sound Hotel of Emotions’

Family concert for children aged 8 and above, accompanied by adults

At Klanghotel «Opera» , the most colourful guests check in – all just passing through, yet each carrying their own peculiarities. Signora Tristezza is inconsolable and fills entire bathtubs with her tears; Signore Rabbia complains so loudly that the walls tremble; Signore Belfiore loves spreading good cheer, while Signora Graziamore wins everyone’s heart. Each brings their own story. Between sorrow, joy, jealousy and quiet longing, a vibrant musical world full of surprises unfolds. But the attentive porter knows that every emotion needs its own space. In the end, he leads his guests into the Spiegelsaal, where everyone finds their place – and together they celebrate a Happy Day.

The audience is invited to explore various rooms of the Zurich Opera House and, wandering through doors and corridors, experience a colourful mix of little dramas and great emotions. Four musicians accompany the singers on period instruments, performing arias and sonatas by George Frideric Handel.
