Good night, Chuchi

Night is falling over the city; in a bakery, two bakers are starting their shift. Whilst most people are asleep, they have plenty to do. The dough won’t settle, flour is flying through the air and the croissants are on their way out. The stale loaves are breaking out of their box; they don’t want to end up as breadcrumbs. The fridge comes to life and the birthday cake can hardly wait for its birthday. As if that weren’t enough, a fire breaks out in the oven too. And what is the mouse doing in the bakery?

Part dream, part parental reality, a story emerges with which children and their carers alike can identify. ‘Goodnight, Chuchi’ is the second production by Engel&Magorrian. With ‘Was macht ds Wätter?’, the group staged a play for very young audiences in 2022, which continues to be performed at various theatres and festivals in Switzerland and abroad.
