Touch Some Grass
Slowing down and being creative together
Touch Some Grass – the title symbolises a little break. This afternoon is all about slowing down for a moment and taking that feeling home with you in the form of a handmade object.
In the rooms of the Debattierhaus, you can experiment, create and chat: embroider a favourite T-shirt or tea towel, paint your own flower pot, make a macramé piece with colourful beads or crochet a little plant. Feel free to bring your own clothes, textiles or accessories that you’d like to embellish – or create something new right there on the spot.
Whether you’re embroidering, knotting, painting or simply popping in out of curiosity: this is all about doing it yourself, trying things out and taking your time. Creating together not only provides space for creativity and socialising, but also offers a break from the constant digital din.
The various spaces are curated by Priszilla Medrano, a cultural practitioner, social deacon and DJ. To accompany the SPACE, she creates spaces for creativity, self-care and connection at the Debattierhaus.
This event is part of the annual focus SPACE.
