St Peter's Tower
Huge hands and heavy metal for the soul
We explore St Peter’s Tower – floor by floor. In the belfry, the tower keeper Rudolf H. Röttinger shows us the lasso that was once used to catch the bell clappers. We continue to the clock room with its working historic tower clock mechanism. The belfry houses the five bells dating from 1880. The expert uses his tuning forks to demonstrate how a bell sounds. To round off the tour, we enjoy the wonderful panoramic view from the former watchman’s floor and experience the full peal of the five bells live.
