Naegeli’s Dance of Death
On the trail of Zurich’s graffiti artist
Zurich-based Harald Naegeli is a graffiti artist of the very first hour. At the age of almost 80, he created his ‘Dance of Death’ cycle on the Grossmünster towers. The work caused a scandal even whilst it was being created: the artist had sprayed beyond the agreed area on the tower walls. On this guided tour, we get to see the entire work, including in the bell tower, which is not otherwise open to the public. And we will learn about the artistic background to the Dance of Death, which is a central theme in Naegeli’s work.
