argovia philharmonic Season Ticket Concerts 2026/27
- Fazıl Say (b. 1970), Concerto for Violin and Orchestra ‘1001 Nights in the Harem’
- Camille Saint-Saëns (1835–1921), Symphony No. 3 in C minor, Op. 78 ‘Organ Symphony’
With oriental sounds and a live broadcast, the argovia philharmonic, conducted by its principal conductor Josep Vicent, opens its new season. ‘Composer in Residence’ Fazıl Say, with his concerto for violin and orchestra ‘1001 Nights in the Harem’, transports the audience into a world of sound inspired by the tales from One Thousand and One Nights. The Spanish violinist Leticia Moreno takes on the role of musical narrator. This will be followed by Camille Saint-Saëns’ ‘Organ Symphony’. The composer succeeds in blending the organ and orchestra into a majestic sound. The organ, played by Ilja Völlmy, will be broadcast live, with sound and video, from the Stadtkirche in Aarau.

Access to the Kurtheater Baden is barrier-free through the main entrance on Parkstrasse. The theatre hall and the New Foyer can be reached barrier-free via the lift in the entrance foyer. The rehearsal room on the 5th floor is also accessible. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available in the front building and in the back building. Inductive hearing with your own hearing aid (mode "T") is available in the hall in the stalls, not in the balcony. Hearing aids can be borrowed free of charge from the cloakroom for a deposit.
