Forty years on stage, forty years of music, stories and encounters: Philipp Fankhauser will be celebrating a special anniversary in 2027 with his ‘Playin’ With My Friends – 40 Years Tour’. What began as a great love for the blues has long since evolved into a sound all of its own, in which blues, soul, R&B, country, gospel, zydeco and chanson come together quite naturally.
But Philipp Fankhauser isn’t simply looking back. The anniversary tour continues to tell his musical story. With songs spanning four decades, fresh arrangements, familiar classics and new pieces. The focus is on his warm, unmistakable voice, his band’s groove and that special connection with the audience that sets his concerts apart.
‘Playin’ With My Friends’ is more than just a tour title. It is what has driven Philipp Fankhauser for forty years: sharing the stage with brilliant musicians and making every evening unique.
On the ‘40 Years Tour’, the two new band members, Andrin Burfeindt (Hammond organ, piano, vocals) and Stefan Brenner (drums, vocals), bring a fresh sound to the band. Together with Philipp Fankhauser (vocals, guitar), Flo Bauer (guitar, vocals, band leader), Andrew J. Tolman (bass) and Daniel Durrer (saxophone, clarinet, frottoir), they form the sextet for the anniversary tour.

Access to the Kurtheater Baden is barrier-free through the main entrance on Parkstrasse. The theatre hall and the New Foyer can be reached barrier-free via the lift in the entrance foyer. The rehearsal room on the 5th floor is also accessible. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available in the front building and in the back building. Inductive hearing with your own hearing aid (mode "T") is available in the hall in the stalls, not in the balcony. Hearing aids can be borrowed free of charge from the cloakroom for a deposit.
