JUNIQUE - TAKEOVER by Majke Mi FC
Book Fair
“Babo: What Remains of Her”
In 2026, Majke Mi FC explores the question of legacy: what remains of women and in what form (e.g. in stories, traumas, craftsmanship, music, books and memories).
Through a series of interactive events, we are transforming the Galvanik into a contemporary kafana: a place for exchange, art and shared remembrance.
TAKEOVER: BuchSalon, MAJKE MI
What remains on the bookshelf?
What books did our mothers read? Which stories do we pass on? With this evening, we are opening the Majke Mi Book Salon, a literary meeting place for reading, discovery and exchange.
Bring your own book: a favourite, an heirloom from your family’s bookshelf, or something you’re currently reading.
The evening offers several ways to experience literature:
- Silent Reading – reading together in a quiet atmosphere
- Book Talks – discussing books that have shaped us
- Local authors from the Landis & Gyr Residence or special guests who will briefly present their works or inspiring texts
A curated book table invites you to discover new authors and books to take home with you.
The evening takes place in a relaxed café atmosphere with drinks, conversation and a DJ set to round things off.
