Wax models – a guided tour of the moulage collection
This guided tour provides an insight into the history and production techniques of medical wax moulages. Using selected objects from the Zurich moulage collection, the tour explains the materials, tools and working processes used both in the past and today. The tour illustrates how scientific precision and artisanal skill come together in these moulages.
As part of the programme accompanying the exhibition ‘Models – Shaping Knowledge’ at extract, this visit takes you to a place where scientific models are still used today in research and teaching.
