Open Print Workshop

High and low pressure

The Rote Fabrik’s printmaking studio is open every week as a drop-in workshop for everyone. Astrid Schmid, lecturer in printmaking at the F+F School of Art and Design, is available every Wednesday evening in the printmaking studio to answer questions and offer assistance.

The printmaking studio serves to preserve and promote traditional printmaking and arts and crafts. The studio is equipped with various machines and workstations where original prints can be produced using intaglio, relief and screen printing techniques. The studio was established in 1997 as part of the Rote Fabrik Artists’ Association and is now run and maintained by three volunteers.

A fee of 50.– per person is payable to use the open workshop. This fee comprises a basic charge (10.– per person), a contribution towards the supervisors’ costs (30.– per person) and a flat-rate contribution towards material costs (10.– per person).
