SPICY! FESTIVAL

The PICANTE! Festival sees itself as a queer:trans:feminist festival. A hybrid catalyst between Latin America and Europe, particularly between Argentina and Switzerland. With Chocolate Remix headlining, the voice of the "Ni una menos" movement returns to Zurich. She will be supported by the Zurich rap duo Olekanone and Nova. This will be followed by a performance by Neyen Pailamilla and tunes from DJ Lucianne Blue.

Dance workshop: A dance workshop will take place before the concert! Iris Yum Yum and Geralqueen are the dancers from Chocolate Remix. In an energetic, two-hour workshop with great vibes, they will teach participants the basics of dancehall and practise winning and hip techniques. No prior experience is required to take part. Chocolate Remix - Reggaeton/Perreo/Latin Club Rap - Anti-fascist/Queer/Transfeminist

Chocolate Remix is the reggaeton and urban music solo project of producer, rapper, singer and DJ Romina Bernardo. It was founded in 2013 with the aim of reclaiming the sexist music genre of reggaeton from a queer and feminist perspective. Chocolate Remix harnesses the strong sexual content of this style and reinvents it by addressing taboo topics such as female pleasure and sexuality, whilst also denouncing issues frequently faced by the queer community, such as discrimination, censorship and violence.

Olekanone and NOVA

The Zurich-based rap duo Olekanone and NOVA set both stages and hearts alight. The pair take you on a rollercoaster ride of gallows humour, self-love and social commentary. Olekanone and NOVA spit bars over smooth beats and will make you laugh, think and, above all, dance! And one thing is certain: when the pair are on stage, they don’t mince their words and their music resonates with a wide variety of people.
