Corazón Rudo panel discussion

Ten years of the peace agreement in Colombia

Prospects, challenges and transnational dialogues

November 2026 marks the tenth anniversary of the signing of the peace agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC-EP.

This anniversary provides an important opportunity to take stock of the peace process whilst also highlighting the current challenges.

Despite significant progress, major challenges remain: the recruitment of children and young people, violence against social leaders, territorial conflicts, and issues of memory, truth, reparations and non-repetition.

Switzerland has been supporting the Colombian peace process since 2001 as a reliable partner, playing a central role as guarantor, mediator and historical custodian of the peace agreements. Against this backdrop, the presentation of CORAZÓN RUDO in Zurich provides a suitable setting for continuing the dialogue between Colombian and Swiss stakeholders.
