And who’s going to take the dog?
Some call it simply ‘breaking up’, others use the trendy, modern term ‘conscious uncoupling’! Surely it must be possible to part ways sensibly – as equals, without any blame, hatred or anger. Can that really work? Doris and Georg believe: Yes! “We had our time together; now it’s just over!”
But their ‘unpairing’ therapy turns into an explosive emotional row. A fireworks display of surprising twists and funny situations in which both reach their limits.
With plenty of humour, sharp dialogue and a good dose of irony, this fast-paced comedy treats us to two thoroughly entertaining hours and offers a fresh perspective on the subject of break-ups, as well as the chance to reflect on our own relationships – or at least to find an entertaining way of dealing with them!
‘AND WHO GETS THE DOG?’ – arguably the cheapest and most entertaining form of relationship therapy – for people of all ages.
Based on the film of the same name by Martin Rauhaus. Stage adaptation by Marcus Maria Grube.
