Silent Reading Rave
Silent Reading Rave is a Zurich-based association that brings people together to read all across Switzerland. Whether in cafés, bookshops, parks – or, now for the umpteenth time, in the reading room of the Literaturhaus, which is otherwise open only to members.
At the heart of the rave is the joy of texts of all kinds, whether it’s reading material you’ve brought along yourself or a book from the book table provided by the Literaturhaus. So why not read Wonder Woman comics, Goethe or Pulp Fiction in the very place where Gottfried Keller and James Joyce once read and worked? Text is text, and reading is raving.
