Collection Insights: “She-Devils on Wheels – Headquaters”
What are the biggest challenges in preserving installation art? Unlike other art forms, installations can change from exhibition to exhibition and adapt to the exhibition space, a curatorial concept or the spirit of the times. Variability can be an intentional aspect of a work of art, particularly in installations, but it can also result from conservation measures.
What influence do artists have on the form their works take when reinstalled in a new environment? How can works be preserved amidst these changes? Which elements of a work remain unchanged, and which can be altered?
We will explore these questions using two works by Sylvie Fleury from the museum’s collection.

Zum Haupteingang führt eine Treppe mit 14 Stufen. Der Alternativeingang dazu befindet sich im Hof (Einfahrt über Gerstenstrasse, Behindertenparkplätze für CHF 5/h vorhanden). Der Eingang ist durch einen Lift erschlossen, der mit Eurokey zugänglich ist. Der gesamte Ausstellungsbereich ist hindernisfrei zugänglich. Der Lift erschliesst alle relevanten Gebäudeebenen. Eine Rollstuhl-Toilette befindet sich im 1. Untergeschoss.
