Art and Healing Workshop with Living Museum Zurich
The collaboratively designed ‘Art and Healing’ workshop series, organised in partnership with the Living Museum Zurich, has been taking place regularly since 2023 at the Migros Museum of Contemporary Art or at the Living Museum Zurich. The workshops create a space for people with and without experience of mental health issues or psychiatric care to come together.
In this open, co-creative environment, this autumn we are exploring the theme of ‘Resonance and Resilience’. We are inspired by the exhibition *Canción de Amorder* by artist Nicole L’Huillier at the Migros Museum. Her sound installations only come to life through audience participation. This creates a space in which sound and the body resonate with one another, allowing new forms of togetherness to be experienced. In the studio, we work with paint, paper, textiles, and natural and everyday materials. The workshops promote connection, solidarity, artistic exploration within the group and the strengthening of personal resources.
At the end of the workshop series, the resulting works will be presented to the public at a vernissage at the Living Museum Zurich.
Medical disclaimer: The Art and Healing Workshops are a resource-oriented space for interaction and do not constitute psychotherapeutic treatment. In the event of an acute mental health crisis or if you or others are at risk, please contact the emergency medical services on 144 or a psychiatric emergency unit immediately.
