Photo Studio Wolgensinger —Through Four Eyes
Founded in the mid-1930s, the photography studio of Luzzi and Michael Wolgensinger was a Zurich institution for six decades and an important meeting place of the international avant-garde. With their advertising photography in the tradition of New Objectivity, they struck the nerve of the times and quickly became sought-after partners of many designers and clients. From the beginning, they documented important cultural events in Switzerland and abroad, as well as industrial and production sites, people in their everyday working life, and architecture with a particular focus on Zurich. On their travels to countries near and far, they took fascinating social documentary photos of everyday life and work. The exhibition displays the complete works of the Wolgensingers, in all their richness, for the first time.
