From the classroom to the collection – Focus: Design education

This time, the newly curated forum presents two exciting projects straight from design education: ‘Healing Light’ (BA Art Education, ZHdK) and the book design module ‘150 Years of the Museum für Gestaltung’ (BA Graphic Design, HSLU). As works arising from teaching and research are of particular interest to the museum, individual pieces from both projects have already found their way into our collection. Together with the students and their lecturers, we are discussing current issues in design education: What topics are driving the next generation? What skills and methods are in demand today, and what are the career prospects?
