Gartenstadt Winterthur
It is not for nothing that Winterthur is known as a garden city: a belt of stately villas belonging to former city dignitaries, surrounded by magnificent gardens, stretches around the old town. In the past, Winterthur’s upper classes used to take private strolls there; today, many of these artistically designed parks are open to the public. Join us on a historical stroll through secluded gardens and take a peek behind the once tightly closed wrought-iron gates. Alongside gnarled oaks, fragrant roses and spreading lime trees, you’ll also discover some fascinating stories.
