The situation
Where exactly does the boundary lie between life and artistic experience? Is everything that happens on stage merely a performance? And are the situations of our everyday lives truly devoid of meaning?
The ‘Situations’ programme blurs these boundaries: Sound, gesture and physical action intertwine until fiction and reality, stage and life, can no longer be clearly distinguished from one another. The musicians play their instruments, but they also move through the space, talk to one another, come into conflict and perhaps find common ground again.
In this way, ‘Situations’ turns its gaze towards the seemingly ordinary. Everyday actions become musical material; familiar gestures appear in a new light. A programme about the little dramas of living together and the beauty hidden within them.
