Kathrin Hönegger

Family

What actually remains of home once you’ve long since moved out?

In “Fam.”, host Kathrin meets celebrity guests – and their mothers, fathers, siblings or other people who are (too) close to them. Together, they discuss what lies beneath the surface: role models, family influences, passing things on and letting go. What do we automatically adopt – and what do we struggle against our whole lives? Who speaks to whom, and how? And what happens when we suddenly look at things differently?

On 28 September, our guests will be Pınar Karabulut, co-artistic director of the Schauspielhaus Zürich, accompanied by a family member.

An evening exploring the drama and beauty of family – the most intimate and enduring relationship in our lives.

It will be warm, funny and possibly powerful – and ideally, we’ll all take something home with us.

Kathrin Hönegger is a journalist, author and presenter. She is interested in people – and in what moves them. With poise and warmth, freshness and presence, she creates conversations that foster closeness and make space for genuine thoughts and connection: clear, open and on equal terms. With ‘Fam.’, she is presenting her very first talk show in front of a live audience.

The building at Hechtplatz 7 will undergo renovation from January 2026. During this time, we will be presenting our programme at Haus Seefeld (Seefeldstrasse 91, 8008 Zurich).
