Anda Kids

Nils Holgersson’s Wonderful Journey

A prank turns Nils’s world upside down – and suddenly a journey between heaven and earth begins.

All of a sudden, the wind speaks louder than his own thoughts. The animals have voices. And the solid ground beneath his feet gives way to the open sky. Riding on the back of Martin the gander, Nils takes flight – into a world greater than his courage.

Led by the wise Akka of Kebnekajse, the flock of wild geese soars across vast landscapes. But dangers lurk: the cunning fox Smirre tracks their every move. Amidst storm and stillness, trust and threat, something grows within Nils that he had never known before – responsibility. And the quiet realisation that one can only understand the world if one is prepared to see it differently.

anda Kids presents this Swiss premiere as a musical and poetic family theatre production in dialect. Director Stefan Camenzind brings Selma Lagerlöf’s world-famous story to life in a modern, visually striking production. The original score by Marius Bear carries the journey through vastness and warmth, lending it emotional depth.

A cross-generational theatre experience for children aged 6 and over and their families.
