Tribute to Queen

A Night at the Theatre

Hardly any other rock band had such a strong media presence as Queen. The English band, fronted by the vocally acrobatic, flamboyant Freddie Mercury, dominated the airwaves of the 1970s and 1980s with countless hits.

They shaped the format of the music video and, through endless tours, reached every corner of the globe. Queen were not only media pioneers; above all, they were gifted composers who succeeded in blending a wide variety of styles and infusing them with timeless melodies. As a blend of hard rock, pop and vaudeville, songs such as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions and We Will Rock You wrote rock history.

They are all characterised by Freddie Mercury’s unique vocal range and a love of harmonies.

In this tribute, singer Sarah Kappeler and singers Andreas Lareida, Tobias Carshey, Timo Meier (Max Apollo), Pascal Hervouet des Forges and the rock band, together with DJ Dan Tube (Daniel Rohr), a historic radio show that brings Queen’s career to life within its historical context. All we hear is Radio Ga Ga….

Stefan Busz wrote in the *Tages-Anzeiger*: “Radio Ga Ga marks the start of the high-flying ride… by the end, there’s no stopping it. This night at the theatre rocks the heart”.
