A guide to the current night sky
As a public observatory, the Urania Observatory in Zurich offers fascinating guided tours for everyone.
The Urania Observatory’s demonstrators provide a brief introduction to astronomy and explain various celestial phenomena in an accessible way. If visibility is good, you can observe the moon, planets and stars with your own eyes. The atmosphere beneath the majestic observatory dome and the talks, supported by images and animations, make a guided tour well worth a visit at any time. The 50-metre-high tower offers an impressive view over the city. The guided tour is suitable for adults and interested children aged 9 and over and takes place in all weathers.
