Workshop: Collecting, sorting, storing – organising and managing knowledge
If you are involved in genealogy, journalistic research or work with documents in any other capacity, you have no doubt wondered at some point how best to archive and organise your records.
Our workshop focuses on long-term accessibility and preservation: which filing system is best suited for digital and analogue materials respectively? How do I organise computer files, documents, letters and photographs? We will teach you the basics of archive-standard storage using practical examples and answer your questions.
The workshop is free of charge and will be led by Dr Nicola Schneider from the Training & Guided Tours team in the IK, Digital Services & Development (IDE) department. Places are limited – please register.
For ZB events (guided tours, courses, lectures), audio aids (including induction loops for hearing aids) are available for people with hearing impairments. If required, please contact kommunikation@zb.uzh.ch.
