Biblical themes and spiritual references in his songs
And the Good Samaritan, he’s getting dressed, he’s getting ready for the show, he’s off to the carnival tonight on Desolation Row… The poet and singer Bob Dylan draws on a wide range of sources of inspiration in his songs. These include the Bible. We’ll explore his astonishingly relaxed yet intense engagement with biblical themes in his songs and listen to selected examples.
