Developments, explanations, implications and strategies for greater justice
How are income and wealth evolving on a global scale? Which dynamics exacerbate inequalities within and between societies, and which have a balancing effect? This course provides a comprehensive overview of the global distribution of income and wealth. We analyse the factors that determine wealth and poverty, and how inequality affects health, education, happiness and democracy. Finally, we will also address the question of justice and explore possible strategies and measures to achieve greater equality.
