Too much information, too little understanding? Young people’s media consumption

On average, several hours a day on their mobile phones, constantly online and addicted to social media: there are many preconceptions about ‘Generation Z’. But what does the digital world of young people actually look like? This presentation provides an insight into young people’s media consumption and shows that, whilst ‘digital natives’ use media differently, they do not necessarily use it any worse. It covers protests via social media, ‘digital detox’ and a generation that has a lot to say – especially online.
