Zurich pays tribute to Prokofiev
One composer, two orchestras
The Tonhalle Society of Zurich and the Zurich Opera House are jointly presenting a Prokofiev cycle. On the first evening of the course, you will be given an introduction to the works of Sergei Prokofiev; on the second, you will learn about the shared history of the two orchestras, which formed a single orchestra until 1985. The third evening takes place at the Tonhalle Zurich, where a discussion with the Swiss composer Dieter Ammann has been organised for participants from the VHS Zurich. His works are juxtaposed with those of Prokofiev in this cycle – followed by a concert.
