Stories for the Eyes and Ears | Musikkollegium Winterthur
The Musikkollegium Winterthur is collaborating with museum educator Andrea Paolo Tiziani to develop a new edition of the ‘Stories for the Eye and Ear’ programme. During the 2026/27 season, a guided tour of the Kunst Museum Winterthur | Beim Stadthaus will combine visual art and live music to create a multi-layered experience. The event will be accompanied by the violin and harp duo Claudine Alvarez and Johanna Baer.
The musicians will perform selected pieces directly in front of the paintings – pieces that relate to the respective works thematically, stylistically or emotionally. Andrea Paolo Tiziani will complement the musical performances with art-historical commentary, thereby creating a vibrant dialogue between sound and painting. The music opens up new ways of viewing the works, whilst the artworks provide a visual resonance for the performance.
Please note that this is a ticketed event organised by the Musikkollegium Winterthur. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets cannot be bought at the museum ticket office.
