Albin Brun Quartet ‘Pas de Quatre’
Concert
The ‘Pas de Quatre’ is a dance for four. And indeed: with the ease of dancers, Albin Brun (Schwyzerörgeli, soprano saxophone), Patricia Draeger (accordion), Claudio Strebel (double bass) and Markus Lauterburg (drums, percussion) with the ease of dancers through the repertoire of their new album, navigating intricate rhythms, surprising harmonies and magnificent melodies. The music oscillates between jazz and imaginary folk music, plays on a longing for home, explores the familiar and the unfamiliar, leaps across stylistic boundaries and beautifully combines melancholy with a zest for life.
