All aboard!
Reading. Discussion. Drinks reception
When the lights went out across Europe, Heiner’s only option was to flee to the sea. The engineer ventures northwards, away from a continent at a standstill and into a world of wind, water and uncertainty.
On his small sailing yacht, he battles fatigue, storms and his own uncertainty – and, above all, hopes to find his wife Eve again. Together with his friend Karl, a quiet, intimate drama unfolds on the open sea: conversations about responsibility, truth and the failings of the modern world are sustained by hope.
The search for a new beginning puts their camaraderie to the test. A journey through darkness and light – and the story of two men who experience the collapse of Europe as a moment of reflection.
